Nathalie Du Pasquier
Nathalie Du Pasquier was born in France in 1957 but has lived and worked as a designer and artist in Milan since 1979.
In 1981, Nathalie Du Pasquier was a co-founder of the avant-garde design and architecture movement Memphis along with iconic figures like Ettore Sottsass, Michele de Lucchi and Javier Mariscal. Challenging the notion of good taste, Memphis sampled colours, materials and references in unconventional ways. Until the mid-1980s Nathalie designed textiles, rugs, laminate and furniture, but she has since turned her passion to painting. According to Nathalie, her bold grasp of colours and patterns is more instinct than fascination – an instinct that has earned her characteristic and distinctive universe a place in design history.
