Mario Bellini[4]

Mario Bellini, born in Italy in 1935, is a renowned architect and designer known for his conceptual, multidisciplinary approach. After graduating from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1959, he founded his studio in 1962 and went on to create iconic works in furniture, industrial design, and architecture. Bellini has won eight Golden Compass awards and served as editor of Domus magazine (1985–1991). Honored with the Milan Triennale’s Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement in 2015, his work was showcased in a 2017 retrospective. His Amanta Sofa (1966), now reissued with HAY, is part of MoMA’s permanent collection.
