February 13th 2026, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Verner Panton’s birth—a designer whose bold imagination and love of colour forever changed how we experience interiors.
Today, we also wish to honour someone who was by his side through life and creativity: Marianne Panton, who turns 90, and we celebrate her just as much on this special day.
Panton believed colour could shape our emotions, and this idea guided his playful experiments with furniture, lighting, textiles, and spatial design.
To honour Panton’s 100th year, &Tradition introduces three new colourways inspired by his original palette: Steel Blue, Ivory, and Zesty Orange.
Created in 1968, the Flowerpot lamp remains one of Panton’s most recognizable pieces. More than a functional object, it was his way of proving that design could spark curiosity and joy. When &Tradition added Flowerpot to its collection in 2010, it quickly became central to the brand’s identity.
Together with Verner Panton Design AG, the collection has grown over the years—from the original pendants to portable versions, wall lamps, table lamps, and floor models—always with a focus on keeping the spirit of the design alive while adapting it for today.

Over time, the Flowerpot has expanded into a full lighting universe. There are now nine models to choose from, plus four chandelier versions that bring extra drama to the design. And with a generous offering of 19 colours, the collection provides endless room to play with atmosphere and expression.
With each new addition, Verner Pantons legacy continues to shine
